The birth of a Global success
Amaro Ramazzotti was born in Milan in 1815 thanks to the ingenious mind of Ausano Ramazzotti. The Ramazzotti family, gifted with a fine entrepreneurial attitude, built since the XIX century an export department for their Amaro at the time already popular in the whole Italy.
Ramazzotti spread with the growth of the road trade, and after gaining the national leadership, it started to be exported in the whole World. Nowadays the top of the Ramazzotti range, Amaro, Sambuca and Grappa Fior di Vite, is available in more than 30 Countries.
Ramazzotti in the World
Amaro is today the first imported brand in Germany, as well as the leader in the Bitter category. In 2009 it has been chosen as part of the TOP 10 of the Best Growing Brands. But its road does not stop here, as a matter of fact there are many countries in which the growth trend is double digit e.g. South Africa and USA. Sambuca is the undisputed leader of the Greek and Canadian market, and an emerging brand in Ireland, Russia and Ukraine.
The Ramazzotti range includes also products developed just to satisfy special needs of a market, e.g. Fernet is produced exclusively for Argentina, or Sambuca Black available in some countries where the range is wide and the consumers request specialities. Following its growth path Ramazzotti is building today the base for the development of new potential countries.
